Fireside chat with Yombu team members

In this blog post we asked a few Yombu employees, "what do you like to do for fun outside of work?" Here are their responses.

Venkata Chaitanya ("KC"), Systems Administrator

Apart from work, I love to do the following things:
1) I love playing video games, especially on Xbox. The latest game that I am playing is Assassins Creed Odyssey and Red Dead Redemption 2.
2) I try to experiment with new food recipes when I have some time, and I put on some soothing music in the background.
3) I am intrigued by artificial intelligence (AI) advancements, and I like reading about it. I would love to build my own personal AI assistant one day!

David Chua, Software Engineer

Outside of work, I really like trying new food places. My Instagram (dp_chua) actually turned into more of a food photography social media at this point. Besides that I'm an avid movie goer; I try to watch at least one new film a week. I also play a lot of League of Legends (way too much) when I'm not programming.

Joe Falit, CEO & Co-Founder

Outside of work I enjoy, in no particular order, running (never more than 3 miles at a time), occasionally lifting at the gym, watching generic action movies, playing tug of war with my tiny rescue dog Macie, reading The Economist magazine, playing poker (both home games and at the casino), snowboarding, and trying new foods. I also recently picked up playing tennis again, and I'm horrible, but I've been really enjoying it. My wife (Nicole) and I also recently had a new baby girl (Nora)! So as a new parent, most of my time is spent hanging out with baby Nora

When I'm not working, you can find me enjoying long bike rides, playing basketball, working out, and participating with my family in all our crazy traditions.

Rashika Paudyal, Customer Relations Associate

Here are two things that I love to do:
1) I have always wanted to become a programmer. So, during my freshman year, I used to sneak in to my cousin's room and look through his books and code to try and understand the concept of programming. Now, computer science is my favorite class at school.
2) I started swimming from a very young age. Thanks to my dad, who encouraged me to pursue swimming, I became a national swimmer.

Mike Waychowsky, EVP of Sales

Outside of Yombu (wait, there's life outside Yombu?), I love playing board games with my wife and two young daughters. Playing chess, reading, running, and watching NFL football are my passions. In general, I love to learn and understand new ways of approaching challenges.
