If there’s one thing Manhattan can boast of, it’s entertainment magic. I’ve had plenty of experience scouring the city for the best Kids Party Venues in Manhattan and here is my little personal compilation. Whatever age or personality your brood boasts, you’re sure to find something here!
Bowlero Times Square
This funky, Japanese-inspired, rain forest, pub glam, comic book looking venue is just insane, y’all. Bowlero Times Square offers a vibrant and lively party environment with state-of-the-art bowling lanes, arcade games, billiards, and a karaoke lounge. The party packages include dedicated party hosts, delicious food options, and exciting activities to ensure an unforgettable celebration. You might even find yourself wanting to sing along! For an older party, they become a 21+ venue on a Friday and Saturday after 9pm.
The Art Farm
Art and nature! Farm animals to be exact, sprinkled with bunnies, birds, bearded dragons, tortoises, chinchillas, chickens, and more. This nature-focused learning center helps children enjoy and grow in arts, crafts, music, cooking, and physical activity. They have 7 awesome party packages to choose from, which include a range of perks such as music time, an art project, pizza and cake, farm themed party favors, exotic animal encounters, a visit from a princess, treasure hunt, a cooking class, or a science experiment. You may love it so much that you enroll the kiddos in some classes!
The Children’s Museum of Manhattan
The Children’s Museum of Manhattan offers enchanting interactive exhibits, educational programs, and dedicated party rooms, making it suitable for children of all ages. From a science-themed party to a magical journey through art and culture, the museum provides a diverse range of themes to suit every interest. I absolutely loved the engaging activities, and hands-on experiences of the dedicated, friendly staff. This is totally one of my top choices for a fun AND educational birthday party.
Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum
Tiptoeing on the edge of the Hudson River, with New Jersey in the distance, is the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, a unique party venue for children interested in history, science, and exploration. Kids can explore the aircraft carrier Intrepid, the space shuttle Enterprise, and various interactive exhibits. The museum offers birthday party packages that include guided tours, access to interactive displays, and hands-on activities. And, of course, the views of the river and New York City skyline are stunning too!
Dylan’s Candy Bar
If you don’t mind all the sugar, then Dylan’s Candy Bar is neon-candied heaven. It was founded by the daughter of fashion icon Ralph Lauren and their website posits it as an emporium (and so it is) and lifestyle brand, combining fashion with art, pop culture and, of course, CANDY. It is a real feast for the eyes as well as the palate. They have over 7000 confections! Children can explore the candy-themed play space, complete with slides, climbing structures, and interactive features. Party packages include playtime, a dedicated party host, delicious treats, and a private party room adorned with candy-themed decorations.
Kids at Work
When I heard this, I was like, ‘child labor?’ But Kids at Work is actually a wonderful venue that offers baby and toddler classes up to age 5 in delightfully messy sensory-art development. Included in that are (amazingly!): yoga, dancing, soccer, SPANISH (yes), sign language (yes!) and cooking. Their birthday package is generous and includes balloons, cake/cupcakes, food for the adults too!, outside catered wine/beer/liquor (also for parents), extra staff, themed projects, infant play, and party favors. Check it out here.
It wasn’t an easy task to select our Favorite Kids Party Venues in Manhattan, but we managed! These venues showcase entertainment, education and lots of yum – I would definitely recommend that if you want your event to be the talk of the town, you won’t be disappointed by these.
