You know, you don’t have to throw a party at home. In fact, it’s way more effortless to go to a fabulous venue and let someone else take care of all the details – you just bring the cake. Since I’ve started outsourcing my kids parties, I’ve actually had time to enjoy them myself! Here are some of our Favorite Kids Party Venues in Queens.
My Gym Children’s Fitness Center
For energetic children, this one is a sure winner. My little firecrackers love the run and tumble of this kiddie gymnastics wonder world and sensory class environment. Their trained staff guide the children through a terrific 1.5 hours of gym fun, as well as a cake and pizza service (you supply the cake), water and crockery for each child. They also throw in some balloon decor and a specific theme of your choice, including Disney princesses, Paw Patrol and Sesame Street. The cost differs depending if you’re a member or not – membership is a once-off fee of $50 and classes run on a 4-week tuition fee basis. More info is found on their website. Also note that the gym is for kids aged 1-11 years only.
Kids Fun House
Fun indeed! Try floor to ceiling obstacle and slide heaven. Kids Fun House keeps the kiddos busy with mazes and tunnels in their 3-story playground – and what’s also awesome is that the ‘rents can enjoy a good cuppa and some snacks in the venue’s café while the tots have a ball. Might be good to give it a taste test for the party! Their packages include some treats from their menu, as well as themed decorations, game tokens (there are prizes to be won!), a character visit, goody bags, piñatas and more!
You can also enjoy their private room perks, which include a disco, pizza and juice, arts and crafts, cotton candy and cake, depending on your package chosen. They also have specials for weekday and morning parties.
The venue is perfect for kids aged 1-12.
This 6200 sq ft space is for kids 6 and under and is a fun and safe learning environment for social, emotional, physical and cognitive development. They have a soft play area that includes a wood cubes pit, ice cream truck, ball travel machine, swings, obstacle courses, beehives and more. For parties, they can accommodate up to 70 people and party time is 2.5 hours long. They have two party packages that include cutlery and crockery, themed decorations, snacks, drinks and water, disco ball and personal party playlist, cake table set up and birthday banners, and staff to help manage it all. They were voted the best Children’s Party Place three years in a row, so check them out!
Sky Village NYC
Just a 15 minute drive from Queens is the best art-based kids play experience in the tri-state area – and it sure is adorable. Their professional paint parties and camps provide little ones with the freedom to be creative and emotionally supported during the process. Their after-school classes morph into wonderful party ideas, where the children dance, decorate cupcakes, make necklaces, paint, enjoy some yummy pizza and more! You can also rent out the entire venue for any other themed event you choose.
Queens County Farm Museum
Animal Farm it with pigs, horses, ponies and chickens and tractor-ride between the hay bales, visiting the pens and gardens before sitting down to delicious pizza and a personalized cake, with juice and a surprise gift for the guest of honor. And don’t worry if it rains! Kids may love jumping in puddles, but the staff will also have rainy-day activities ready to keep them busy indoors. You’re welcome to bring additional food, but alcoholic drinks for the adults are not allowed.
Flushing Meadows Corona Park
For a splash and a sprinkle, come to this ton-of-fun park with a manmade river, sprinkler area, jungle gym, basketball courts, and kid-sized village and fire station. Plus, it’s right next door to the Queens Zoo, if you want to combine some wild animal watching fun too. Otherwise, scenic trails, an indoor pool, lakes with kayaks, and biking trails, plus cultural institutions will definitely keep the kids busy. It’s really one of the easiest ways I keep my kids busy – ‘off to the park!’

What is a good budget for a party?
According to a recent survey, the average parent spends approximately $400 on a birthday party for their child. If this sounds too much for your budget, consider gifting the child with an experience, rather than an all-out party, with decorations and goodies.
