If you’re hosting in parks like the Boston Common, Christopher Columbus Park or the Esplanade, we recommend having a simple indoor backup such as your home, a community room or a rented event space.

Parking in Boston can be tricky, especially around the North End, Back Bay and the Seaport. Our entertainers plan additional travel time and arrive early to find legal parking. If your building requires special entry instructions (front desk check-in, elevator access, loading area), just add that to your booking notes so we can arrive smoothly and set up on time.

Yes, a few. Some Boston Parks & Recreation locations require permits for groups larger than 25, and certain indoor venues don’t allow balloons or face paint. The Esplanade and Boston Common also have specific guidelines for amplified music and vendor setup. We can help you check the rules for your chosen location and even provide insurance certificates (COIs) if your venue needs them.

Boston kids party entertainers on Yombu start at $190 an hour, for balloon art. Other live starting prices: face painting from $190 an hour, magic shows from $345 per show, party characters from $250 an hour and foam parties from $750 per show. Your total depends on the entertainer, how long you book and any add-ons, and you always see the exact price before you pay.
