A birthday booking gives you a designated party room for an hour and a half, a DoSeum staff member to run it, premiere parking, and unlimited playtime for up to twenty-five guests for the whole day — which is the part that earns the booking. An indoor adventure park on San Pedro Avenue in the north-central stretch, and a wider proposition than a pure trampoline park — trampolines, yes, but an indoor playground, climbing walls and an arcade under the same roof as well. That mix is what makes it workable for a guest list with a seven-year-old and a four-year-old in it.

Packages are built around either ten or twenty flyers and split by whether you want a private room or a reserved table, all of them with two hours of party time, grip socks, pizza and drinks, and a party host shared with the other bookings running that day. There is a stripped-back do-it-yourself table with no host and no food if you would rather bring your own. The birthday child gets a shirt, an LED balloon and a goodie bag.

On Guilbeau Road on the northwest side, and the pitch is one word: private. Pump It Up gives you the whole climate-controlled arena of inflatable slides and obstacle courses for your slot, with nobody else's party running alongside yours.

That is worth more than it sounds if the birthday child is three, or if somebody in the group finds a crowded play center unbearable. A dedicated host runs the entire thing — the changeover between rooms, the food, the cake, the cleanup — and there is a separate party room off the arenas. A glow package turns the inflatables luminous if you want the evening version.
